Southern Free Legal Advice Center delivers legal services to underprivileged people in Chittagong Metropolitan area who cannot access legal advice elsewhere. Qualified solicitors and volunteer lawyers provide confidential, basic legal advice for free and in person across all areas of law.
The center is run by the Department of Law at Southern University Bangladesh and is open every day from 3pm to 6pm. Appointments are required in advance and scheduled daily in the evening.
We do not represent in court or tribunal cases. We also cannot advise on criminal or immigration law.
The Student Committee organizes fundraising, contributes to center operations, and collaborates with legal professionals to help shape and execute the center’s direction. Students also gain practical legal experience and advocacy skills.
